I am Gwenaël Le Bodic, creative coder based in Montreal, Canada.
I write computer code that generates original designs (generative art). These designs are then crafted into selected mediums such as paper (pen-plotter, see video below), metal, wood or concrete. My algorithms rely on mathematics, geometric transformations of shapes and often a good pinch of randomness. I control some parts of the generative process but leave some space for the computer to surprise us. This human/machine collaboration is sometimes a frustrating process but once we end up on the same wavelength, collaboration can bring surprising and pleasing artworks. I hope you will like those.
At this time, all products available on this website are high-quality pen-plot artworks. These pen-plots are generated using the Processing coding environment, fine-tuned with the graphic editor Inkscape and plotted with an Axidraw A3/V3 pen-plotter (see video below). Various Rotring Isograph and Japanese pens are used for plotting on quality paper.
Several designs are also available on a digital-only format on Tezos and Ethereum blockchains. Visit https://hicetnunc.art/g6 and https://opensea.io/g6creative to see galleries.
